Finally got a blog set up!

I have been wanting to do this for months now; I just seemed to have trouble finding the time to do it. Kayla has grown and changed so much in the last couple of months. She is full on crawling, furniture walking, saying DaDa, MaMa & BaBa...and so much more. As each day passes and her personality continues to develop, I can't help but be amazed by her. We had her 9 month check up this morning and all went well. She was 29 ½ inches and 22 lbs, 10 ounces which puts her at 97% for length and 75-90% for weight. Her doctor said she was right on track with developmental skills and even ahead in some areas. He said we can now start to give her some bite size foods (such as cheerios or cheese cut up really small). That was kind of shocking for me to hear, it makes me feel like my little baby is growing far too fast. She also had two shots and that made her pretty mad. She passed out shortly after that and had a nice long nap.

We spent this weekend enjoying the weather and spending time with friends and family. We took Kayla to the hydroplane races on Sunday and she got a kick out of those. The picture is of her with Daddy checking out all the boats (although temporarily distracted by a dog walking by).
