11 Months Old & Tooth #4

Well, yesterday our little baby turned 11 months old. It feel like just yesterday that we were on our way to the hospital to have her delivered, and now she is just a month shy of being a whole year old. The time has flown by so quickly that I almost feel panicked about it....did I miss out on anything? Will the next 17 years go just as fast? Everyone tells you that when you have kids the time flys by so quickly and I never realized how much that was true until I actually had one.

Tooth number 4 popped out this weekend (thank god) and so she was feeling much better thanks to that. I wonder if she's going to get the rest of her teeth soon...

Kayla is such an amazing little person and I feel so blessed to have her in my life. There is no one that can light up my day quite the way she can. As each day passes and her personality continues to blossom, I am just amazed at how smart and funny she is. Happy 11 Months Baby!

Teething = Unhappy Baby

Last night was pretty difficult for all of us. Kayla was up off and on all night screaming and crying even though we gave her oragel and baby motrin. Her teeth are just really bugging her. I know she must be in a lot of pain because I have never heard her scream like that in her life. She appears to be much happier today though, this is the picture Jake just sent me of her eating breakfast:

Kayla in her Wagon

Tooth #3

Tooth #3 has finally broken through her gums and now tooth #4 is on it's way. Kayla is doing remarkably well for a baby who is getting in so many teeth at once, but I know she has to be in some pain. We are also working on some new words with her. This morning I was trying to teach her to say Up...and she kept saying Pup. It's still pretty close and it makes me laugh which of course is the best part!

"Hi!"

This weekend we discovered that the little word that Kayla whispers while she waves is "Hi!". We have been working on waving hi and bye for awhile now and she definitely has that down, but to hear that she is also saying Hi was pretty amazing. We're not quite sure why she whispers it but it's darling :)

Here is a list of the words she says regularly:
Dada
Mama
Baba (Bottle)
Hi
Na Na (No No)

And the words she has said 2 or 3 times each:
Kitty
Hot
Bye
Meow

I can't wait to see what is next!!!
